Background

As a language teacher in higher education, founder Bob Muyllaert (too) frequently came in contact with poorly written texts that were unacceptable as source materials for his courses.

Personal and business contacts often asked him to rework or translate their texts because they were not happy with the work that others had done.
He rapidly built up a loyal customer base and soon saw the need to set up his own language centre.

In 1996, the one-man business became a limited company with over ten employees. In 2004, due to excessive infrastructure costs, the company reverted to its original form as a one-man business but with the support of a network of professional freelancers. For tax reasons, the one-man business became a SCS (GCV), in which Sophie and Bruno were included as partners.

The name Europrofs stands for:

Translations, sworn and non-sworn
We only translate from and into Dutch, French, English, German and Spanish. However, we are happy to help you find translators and interpreters in all other language combinations, whether or not they are sworn translators and interpreters.
Our translations are highly professional.

Sworn translations

We provide sworn translations to meet the needs of:
private individuals, public authorities, legal services and businesses.
We translate all legal and official documents from and to Dutch, French and English.

Sworn translations FOR USE IN BELGIUM:
You can send us the text to be translated digitally or on paper.
We will deliver the translation digitally or on paper based on your preference. You usually receive the translation on the day itself or the day after.

Sworn translations FOR USE ABROAD:
These translations must be legalised by the legalisation service of the Justice Federal Public Service.

Procedure (abroad):
1. You let us have a digital or paper copy of the document to be translated.
Note: We only work based on appointments. Please contact us beforehand by calling +32 (0)475 85 71 19 or by email: bob@europrofs.be
2. We translate the document and deliver the translation digitally to the Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Federal Public Service.
3. Once the translation is legalised, you will receive an invitation from this same Federal Public Service to pay and you can download the legalised document.

We will also gladly help you to find sworn translators and interpreters in all other language combinations free of charge.

Standard translations

Standard translations are non-sworn translations. We handle Dutch, French, English and German texts. Europrofs works with a scrupulously selected team of translators.

Documents can be sent in via post or email.

Rates

We charge the same rates for private and business customers: 0.02 euro + VAT (21%) per character, with a minimum of 30 euro per page.

Thanks to our close collaboration with professional copywriters, design studios and printers, we are also able to offer you a high quality ‘concept to delivery’ service for all your brochures and flyers to ensure a cost-effective end-product, tailored to your specific requirements.
